🛠️ Position Summary
The Marketing Executive plays a pivotal role in shaping the Chamber’s image, growing its visibility, and supporting its members’ success. This position develops and manages marketing strategies that amplify the Chamber’s mission, promote programs and events, and elevate member engagement across platforms.
We’re seeking a dynamic, creative, and community-minded professional with strong marketing instincts, digital fluency, and a heart for local business.
📋 Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Development

Partner with the Executive Director to create and execute comprehensive, multi-channel marketing strategies

Identify target audiences and apply data-driven insight to marketing plans

Monitor trends to ensure the Chamber remains relevant, engaging, and innovative
Brand Management & Content Creation

Protect and promote the Chamber’s visual and narrative brand identity

Develop compelling content for newsletters, press releases, flyers, blogs, and social media

Highlight and support the visibility of member businesses through thoughtful storytelling
Digital Marketing & Communications

Manage all digital platforms, including website, email, and social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok)

Track engagement, campaign success, and online presence using tools like Google Analytics and email marketing metrics

Maintain and enhance a user-friendly, current, and accessible website
Member Engagement & Public Relations

Coordinate member-facing initiatives like spotlights, video features, and business celebrations

Represent the Chamber publicly at events and maintain strong professional presence

Serve as a connector between the Chamber and the community
Event Promotion & Support

Assist in the planning and marketing of Chamber events including Lunch & Learns, Leaders & Lagers, ribbon cuttings, and conferences

Collaborate with members, sponsors, and partner organizations to ensure strong visibility and attendance
Financial & Administrative Support

Support Chamber operations by managing accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and account reconciliation

Gain working knowledge of the Chamber’s point-of-sale (POS) and accounting systems
-
Track and report on membership activity and financial performance related to marketing initiatives
Energy & Leadership

Champion the Chamber’s mission with enthusiasm and urgency

Stay informed on industry developments and bring fresh, actionable ideas to the team

Actively build relationships that enhance the Chamber’s network and value
🧠 Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

A clear understanding of the Chamber’s role as a leader in business and community

A strategic, creative mindset paired with exceptional execution skills

Strong written, verbal, and visual communication abilities

Experience with new media, content marketing, and design platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite)

Professional presence and comfort with public speaking

The ability to influence, motivate, and build relationships across diverse audiences

Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills

Proficiency with marketing analytics and financial tracking tools
🎓 Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field

2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or community engagement
-
Familiarity with small business, nonprofit, or economic development settings
-
Residency in Decatur County (preferred but not required)
