The Greensburg Decatur County Contractual Public Library seeks a Library Bookkeeper/Treasurer who is committed to serving the public by providing for the lifelong information, educational, recreational, and cultural needs of the community.
Under the general supervision of the library director:

Uses SBOA approved fund accounting system in all monthly bookkeeping functions. This includes: processing vouchers, posting warrants and claims, balancing bank accounts, processing payroll and investing library funds.

Prepares and assists in the preparation of year-end reports (including the Annual Financial Report) and monthly board meeting reports.

Assists and advises Director in financial matters related to the library.

May serve as Treasurer of the Library Board of Trustees. Makes annual financial presentation to Library Board

Maintains employee and financial records.

Prepares reports for budget preparation, serves as advisor to Director in the budget process, attends bookkeeping and budget workshops as needed

Coordinates, works with, and trains backup bookkeeper as needed.
The Greensburg Decatur County Contractual Public Library is a Class B library with 22 staff members and serves a population of 26,472 citizens in Southeastern Indiana with a current annual budget of $1.8M.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

Secondary education in related field preferred.

Accounting experience and knowledge of accounting principles required.

Strong financial management skills

Satisfactory criminal history background check appropriate for working among children.
