Grant D Burns serves as Shield Security’s Chief Executive Officer and co- founder. Grant began his career with Georgia's Department of Corrections graduating from the state academy with honors. Mr. Burns continued his law enforcement career as a sworn Police Officer and dually appointed Wayne County Sheriff Special Deputy, where he served in special operations units. During Grant’s tenure with the Detroit Police Department he was awarded the Unions highest honor, Officer of the Year and Detroit City councils highest award, The Spirit of Detroit Award. Mr. Burns is a graduate of The military college of Georgia and Oakland University.
