ABOUT US
The Ridge is a church in Columbus, Indiana, doing “whatever it takes” to reach our community for Christ. We believe nothing matters if people don’t matter, and we believe you are the key to making that possible.

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS
• Character — Must be above reproach.
• Competency — Able to develop, lead, implement, and maintain systems that help people grow in the areas of mental health and point them toward next steps in their relationship with God.
• Chemistry — Able to fit in and work within a highly collaborative team environment, maintain healthy relationships, and a seamless fit with our church vision, values, and culture.

JOB PRODUCTS – specific to the mental health care initiative of The Ridge Leadership in the areas of counseling, care groups, training, and resources:
• Build out a comprehensive and affordable faith-based mental health care system.
• Develop a robust care evaluation process to identify individual care needs.
• Develop and execute annual budgeting in conjunction with Executive Pastor.
• Lead and train professional and lay counseling programs.
• Lead the way in external financial support in areas such as grant assistance, partnering organizational support, and available governmental funding.

Community
• Prioritize and develop community relationships regarding mental health care.
• Implement relevant community Care Groups in cooperation with Connections Pastor.
• Build a community awareness of the mental health care services offered to the community.

Administrative oversight:
• Manage 1:1 counselors.
• Oversee counseling intake and assignment.
• Oversee record keeping and process compliance.
• Oversee administrative support efforts related to areas of mental health care.

OTHER EXPECTATIONS/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
• Embrace and desire to accomplish the vision, values, and strategies of the church.
• Be responsible to and managed by a Pastoral staff member via a work plan/performance process.
• Be a champion for church and staff culture.

GIFT REQUIREMENTS
• Spiritual gifts – Primary (essential for this position): Leadership, Shepherding, and Care. Secondary (beneficial for this position): Administration.
