Tickets are $15 and includes a pork chop dinner. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner starts at 6:30 p.m.\n\n \n\nGuest speaker Brianna J. Schroeder of Janzen Agricultural Law\, LLC\, will cover five legal topics including soil/groundwater health\; employment law\; farm data\; the Right to Farm Act\; and gene editing. \n\n \n\n"These topics may jump around a bit\, but we believe they ensure there will be something for everyone involved in agriculture and attending our event\," Chamber Ag Dinner Chairman Nick Obermeyer of the Obermeyer Agri Group said. "Ag law is so complex these days. It is definitely something today's farmers and farm related businesses cannot ignore."\n\n \n\nBrianna Schroeder grew up in a family of teachers in the farmhouse built by her great-grandparents in northeastern Indiana. She spent her childhood summers baling straw\, mowing lawns\, and playing sports. Now she focuses her legal practice on litigating complex environmental matters\, drafting contracts for agribusinesses and family farms\, and assisting agricultural clients with regulatory compliance. She has diverse agricultural experience\, from defending turkey and dairy farms from nuisance suits to negotiating farm leases and advising farmers on wetlands compliance.
