DESCRIPTION:As part of the Physical Activity goals outlined by the Community Health Needs Assessment\, DCMH\, and several local community partners have teamed up to share more information about the defined trails and walking paths in Decatur County.\n\n\n\nWe will highlight a trail in our county each week\, including important information to know before you go. With the community's health in mind\, we hope you will take advantage of the warmer weather and go for a walk outside!\n\nNew Point Trail \n\nThe New Point Trail offers parking at the trailhead or additional parking available at the Salt Creek Township Park a few hundred feet down the road. \n\n\n\nThe trail is all gravel and nicely maintained. There is no shade on the trail\, but 3 benches available for a rest. The trail is a loop with multiple loop options. Walking all of the loops at once is about .4 miles in length. \n\n\n\nThe trail is open year-round to the public and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome\, but must be on a leash.\n\n\nClick here for a map of the trail
