Philip will be presenting on the topic of tourism in Greensburg and Decatur County. This Lunch & Learn session will be particularly relevant to local business owners and management when it comes to planning or partnering during major events and celebrations in our community!\n\n\n\nWhat is Tourism?\n\nWhere does funding come from & where does it go.\n\n\n\nDecCo Summer Concert Series\n\nThis summer is the first year of the DecCo Summer Concert Series at Rebekah Park Amphitheater where there will be 7 weekends of music and fun!\n\n\n\n2024 Total Eclipse\n\nDid you know that on Monday\, April 8th\, 2024 there will be the first total solar eclipse in 819 years! The path of the eclipse will cut through the United States from Texas to Maine with the Decatur County\, Indiana area sitting near the center of the path of totality. During the total solar eclipse\, Greensburg/Decatur County is expected to host a large number of travelers who will be staying\, enjoying local attractions\, and viewing the phenomenon. Due to the surge in tourism for this unique event\, owners and management should make appropriate arrangements and anticipate an increase in customers to ensure smooth business operations.\n\n\n\nWe hope you will join us for this fun and informational Lunch & Learn on Tuesday\, June 13th at 12 PM in the GDC Chamber of Commerce conference room!\n\n \n\nLunch is provided. You MUST RSVP as there is limited seating for 20 attendees!
